August 6-12: Apple Week

Caramel Apples

Materials:

  • 6 apples
  • 6 flat 4-inch long wooden sticks
  • Package of caramels, 14 ounces
  • Water
  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Spoon
  • Wax paper
  • Candy

Directions:

  1. Insert sticks into bottom of apples.
  2. Unwrap caramels and add to bowl with water.
  3. Microwave until melted, stirring halfway through.
  4. Dip apples in caramel. Use a spoon to make sure all of apple is covered.
  5. Place on wax paper.
  6. You may also wish to decorate apples with candy or sprinkles.
  7. Refrigerate.
